Comcast's customer service is terrible.

Pros: High speed access to the interenet, no dial-up.
Cons: The higher monthly cost of service, and Comcast's notoriously bad customer service.
The Bottom Line: If there were another company offering broadband internet access in my area I would pay twice the monthly cost just to be rid of Comcast forever.

I have been a Comcast/AT&T Broadband/Mediaone customer for over 6 years, since it was first available in my area. I have been a fantastic customer for them, never once delinquent on a bill, and even bringing other customers to their service. For this loyal patronage what is my reward? 6 years of misery and anquish. I have had countless problems with my connection, which resulted in hours wasted on the phone with technical support. In addition I have had to dispute several mistakes in billing, requiring multiple attempts to correct the balance in each instance. However, my latest grievance with this company is by far the worst. They are now attempting to bill me for a modem that one of their servicemen picked up from my house. They claim they don't have it. What's worse is that they immediately turned me over to a collection agency, without a single notice to me of any outstanding debt. There goes my credit rating. I am in the process of fighting this charge, but I don't have much confidence in my ability to win the fight with the hopeless black hole they call customer service, and the damage to my credit rating is already done. Thank you Comcast for years of misery and Anguish.
