With the Fleet Edvance Platinum Mastercard, you earn one point for each dollar you spend. Once you reach 2,500 points ($2,500 in purchases), you get a $50 Series EE US Savings Bond. Calculating the percentage, this comes out to be 2% cashback.
Comparing this to other cashback reward cards, the percentage is the highest that I have ever seen, without having to carry a balance. But, the big catch here is that you won't earn anything unless you spend $2,500. And then you have to spend another $2,500 to earn a second $50 savings bond. The bottom line is, if you're not a big spender, this card is not worth your purchases. You'll earn more with those cards that give you a certain percentage back of ALL your purchases from the first one.
Another attractive feature of this card is that there is a 9.9% fixed APR. However, if you fail to make payments twice during a six-month period, the APR will get higher.
There is no annual fee.
