The Bottom Line: It was the worse experience I have ever had with a credit card. Stay as far away as possible.

I was not a credit risk and CHOOSE this card over many others that I was offered. It appeared to have a 9.9% interest rate, but if you read the back of the application and the fine print it was actually 29.9%. They have a little addition to the rate they post to 'draw' you in. It was very confusing. I paid my bills on time each month but did revolve some of the bill. I called and asked about the high rate and was told it always was falsely inflated in the first few bills and that was not the actual rate I was paying, although they could not tell me was that rate was. I had 2 other cards at 12.5% and wanted a lower rate. Boy, did I get taken. I wrote many letters, was not allowed to talk with a supervisor even though I was a customer. I finally consulted a lawyer who told me all they wanted was consistent monthly payments. Just threaten them he said that if they don't lower they rate, that you had been more than patient, and that you were sending the final payment if a reasonable rate could not be agreed upon. That will get their attention he said. They will lower your payment because it would be better than no payment. I have been fighting with them for more than 2 years. They have ruined my credit, lowered my Beacon score, and they do continue to charge late fees until you are over the limit. Then they continue to charge the high interest rate. The consumer ends up paying over $100.00 per month in late fees, over-the-limit fees and interest. A LOAN SHARK would have been cheaper. And word of warning, 2 years later, they still are adding fees and will not do a write off of the account. I still gets harassing phones calls at least once a week.
