The Bottom Line: Do not use Citi's products. They won't help you out when you are in a bind.

I have had my Citi credit card for 4 years now, and never had a problem until recently. They were charging me $20 a month for the Credit Protector program, when I had called 3 times telling them to take it off my account. Well, last month this $20 put me over my credit limit and therefore charged me a $39 fee and then the interest applied was a lot more. I called and demanded they take off the $20 program and told them what it did to my account but they didn't care. They did nothing about it. Well, I am on a VERY tight budget and couldn't afford to pay the new minimum (which was $125). I paid $10 here and there just to show them that I was attempting to pay it down, and when I looked at my account this morning my new minimum is $513.00 and my 13.24% interest rate is now 32.24%. I have NEVER been late on the payments before this occured. It's nice to know this is how they treat their faithful customers. I do not recommend them, and even if you have been a great customer for years, they will still find a way to screw you. Once this card is paid off they are losing my account.
