The Bottom Line: I will not recommend this online banking site. Other bank's online banking site are easier to use.

I've never received such poor service from a bank before now. I recently applied for a savings account at citibank online thinking it will be an easy and time-efficient way to do it. I was wrong.
I was sent a letter telling me that they need some documents, so I sent a copy of my I.D., Social Security card, and a copy of a recent bank statement. I received a card, pin number, and even a letter welcoming me on the usage of citibank online. So I was thinking, "hey maybe my account is good and ready."
After 2 weeks, somebody left a message on my phone which was hardly audible telling me to call a certain toll-free number. And I did. But when I called the number, they did not know why I was calling. I mean, they were the one who asked me to call, and now that I did, they didn't know what to do. So no one was able to help me. And I was not told whether I still need to do something with my account.
And just today, I tried accessing my account online. But I've been blocked off. I called the number on the website and I've been transferred to Direct Bank Servicing Department and they told me that my account have been de-activated. WITHOUT WARNING!!!
To make matters worse, the citi phone personnel made it seem like the whole thing was my fault!
My fault?! How could it be my fault?!
She said that they weren't able to receive a copy of my phone bill statement and that's why they de-activated the account.
HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT?!
I did not receive a letter telling me that I was still lacking a document. But the citi phole personnel said that they sent me one. How can they prove that? Also, I called them a few weeks ago asking about why they called me and nobody there knew why I was calling. To top it off, I did not understand their English either. It was inaudible.
All in all, I'm very disappointed with Citibank U.S.
I will try to avoid their service as much as I can.
