B.A.S.S. members and all fishing fans can get all the action, even when you can't get to the lake. With the help of many of the nationally recognized BASS pros, THQ has come up with a winner. The lakes are models of three of the actual lakes on the BASS tournament trail.
You can create a custom player, and with multi level action, the fun never stops. The graphics are fair , but the realistic action and behavior of the fish totally make up for any lacks in graphics.
With the aid of a memory card, you can save your scores and weigh-ins and work your way up the ladder to the Bassmaster Classic. You have to work at it, the game is not going to put the fish on to line for you. You must learn the habits and likes and dis-likes of the fish in varying weather conditions and times of the day. You better keep an eye on the clock. you will be penalized if you do not make it to the weigh-in on time.
All this adds up to a more realistic adventure for the angler with a full time job and no way to make the real tournament. You will pit your skills against some of the best anglers. With a good catch you can earn points and dollars in you profile. As you work your way through the tournaments, you win upgrades on tackle and equipment which work to your advantage.
The multi player action adds up to some interesting head-to-head action. There will never be a dull moment with Bassmaster 2000.
