in multi player with one hit kills switched on was a great time for all. Then of course a regular match with the Golden Gun activated was a blast; at least it was when I got it, being on the recieving end wasn't so good, but then picking my bro off from a height and then nicking his golden gun was the best. Ah the memories, this was always my favourite deathmatch game until Red Faction came along with its through the wall one hit kill rail guns. *grin*

Great review, even tho you may not see this comment.

Y'know... complaining about a given's weapon ammo type in this game is sorta pointless. There's "Little Bullets" and "Big Bullets". :)

The following bullets are all used in the game as "Little Bullets" and are interchangeable:

5.7mm (RC P90 / FN P90)
7.65mm (PP7 / Walther PPK; Klobb / Skorpion)
9mm Parabellum (D5K / MP5K)
.44 Magnum (DD44 Dostovei / .44 Desert Eagle)

The following bullets are all used in the game as "Big Bullets" and are interchangeable:

5.56x45mm NATO (AR33 / M16A2)
7.62x39mm Russian (KF7 / AK47)
7.62x54mm Russian (Sniper Rifle / Dragunov)

For some odd reason, 5.56x45mm NATO is used in both the M16A2 and the Raptor (which in Goldeneye are called the AR33 and the Phantom) but in the game, one uses big bullets and the other uses small ones. Wierd.

Special weapons in Goldeneye, such as shotguns, explosives, the Golden Gun, and the Cougar Magnum (which is in fact a Colt .357 Python) each have their own ammo types, except the two shotguns, which share twelve-gauge .00 buckshot shells.

Hope I didn't forget any weapons... this comment ended up being a LOT longer than I'd originally intended. Oh well, enjoy!

I don't know much about consoles and I won't touch a N64 controller unless Goldeneye is in it. Call me exclusive.

Yes, Goldeneye is a super fun game, and even today, aside from Halo...you still see people having Goldeneye parties with all their friends.

Thanks! :) Ya the Facility was mistaken as "Faculty" by almost everyone I knew, but it just sounds cooler that way.

is the P 90 with a few things changed.
it doesn't fire 9mm, it fires 5.7x28mm a round developed to blow through body armor. This ammo is not available for people to even buy. It looks like a cut down 223 round, but carries a much heavier bullet travelling at over 2000fps.
"Only" holds 50 rounds and has a rate of fire of 900 rounds per minute, or, 15 a second.

You captured the essence of Goldeneye perfectly! It brings back memories of playing... The RC-P 90, the Facility (Which my cousin also called the Faculty), our made-up soap opera games (we are weird), and no sleep... Very, very, awesome review.

Hey thanks! Sorry for taking so long to reply, been gone all week with no net access. Anyway, I love Star Fox, I STILL play it even over all my PS2 and GC games.

Awesome review, I especially liked how you compared the 4plater action to Star Fox 64. I just hope we ain't the only ones that thinks that Star Fox 64 was better than GoldenEye to some degree anyways.
