| trgross's Full Review: NFL Blitz 2000 for Nintendo 64 |
NFL Blitz 2000 is a great addition to any N64 gamer's collection. Whether you like football or not, the sheer action of this game guarantees hours, if not days of fun. You will not get a true representation of a football game - instead, you will get non-stop action on even the most mundane of plays.
The controls and gameplay are very easy to learn, meaning that friends who want to play will quickly become competitive with even the best of Blitzers. The graphics are equivalent to the original, but the hits are a definite improvement on the original.
Further, the greater play-editing abilities and variety of stadiums make the game stay fresh for even the most devoted gamer.
The only complaint I have with NFL Blitz is the slow action that happens with four players. The console cannot handle the amount of information coming in and sometimes makes the game move at a snail's pace. However, being able to have four players is a marked improvement over the two player option of the original.
Overall, NFL Blitz is a better game that the original and should be the choice of anyone considering a football game for the N64.
