cyra475's Full Review: Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2: Open Season for Window...
My guys really enjoy the Cabela's Big Game Hunter II by Head Games. There are many locations to hunt in Alberta, Colorado, New Mexico, and the African Plains. There is a wide variety of animals to hunt including bear, deer, elk, caribou, warthog, cape buffalo, cougar, etc. There is a broad choice of weapons to choose from such as bow, black powder, and a variety of rifles, shotguns and target shooting guns.
They really take a lot of time deciding what animals they want to hunt, where the best place to find those animals is, and what they will need to safely and successfully get those animals. Then having passed their safety test, chosen their weapon they go to the shooting range and site in their weapons.
The supplies, ammunition, game tags, and hunts all cost money. I am very glad that they find this kind of virtual hunting satisfying for a number of reasons including the price for a real life hunting expedition is prohibitively expensive. You earn money when you complete your safety test with a high enough score. You earn money when you bag the animals that you bought game tags to hunt. There is also a fine if you shoot something that you do not have a game tag for.
There are real weather conditions, realistic sounds, and good graphics to make this game more realistic.
