caillin's Full Review: Creatures for PlayStation 1
Warpath is basically identicle to other fighting games such as Tekken. It has the same gameplay and the same special features such as unlocking other characters as you progress. The graphics are reasonable and a lot of effort has been put in to make these dinosaurs look and act like dinosaurs. The graphics are not as good as I hoped, for example, it can not compare with Tekken 3 in terms of manouverability of the fighters. Where in Tekken I would press every button available to make "cool" combinations I found myself in Warpath using whatever works over and over again, either a kick or a special combination move. There is a special feature in Warpath that makes it interesting which is a Dinosaur database that tells you information about the different dinosaurs such as weight, height etc. This game is great for kids I found that whenever kids came around they would spend hours glued to the playstation. Possibly children's facination with Dinosaurs would have a lot to do with it. Warpath also includes all the regular options of a fighting game, these include: Surival, Arcade, Tean and Vs Modes. These options all add to the lastability and enjoyment of this game. My advice is that if you enjoy fighting games and want to try something different then this one if for you.
