Pros: design, fairness, conditions, greens, vistas, margaritas!
Cons: a tad bit pushy with the t-mates sales pitch ...ease up on the pimpin'
The Bottom Line: play it. don't pay full retail ($295) but if you get a chance to get on take it.

| peacefrogx's Full Review: Rio Secco Golf Club |
While recently in Las Vegas, we were able to play Rio Secco GC. In a word - fantastic. From the intelligent course layout/design, the well maintained and manicured fairways, the lightening true greens, to go along with the crystal clear vistas of the Strip 20 miles away. And the clubhouse...an architecturally and tastefully designed 19th hole that you will hard pressed to ever see better again.
But on to more important things - the golf. The golf was great. I had read previous reviews about tight fairways and punishing/unforgiven waste areas. Neither statement is near accurate. The fairways were both wide and generous and, though a ball blocked into the scrub may ultimately be lost, this was hardly more prevalent than any typical round at a wood-strewn course. Of course, having played Wolf Creek up in Mesquite the previous day may have given me the impression that Rio Secco was like hitting on the range (now THAT'S doubly punishing and unforgiving.) The greens were decent in size but remarkably true and fast despite the desert climate.
I played there with 5 other friends (2 3-somes.) Of the 6, 5 of us have handicaps between 5-9 (the 6th was about a 28.) None of us had ever played there though through a good connection we were able to get on for $125 at mid-day on a Sunday. And it was definitely well worth it.
p.s. the bartender makes a hell of a Patron Margarita on the Rocks
