Premium Dishwasher that cleans very well

Pros: Quiet, large capacity, numerous flexible controls, Cleans very well

Cons: Display active 100% of time when door latched, poor detergent holder design

The Bottom Line: Quiet, stylish premium dishwasher that cleans well. Irritating aspects such as always on display panel and poor detergent holder design are minor distractions from a very good dishwasher.

I have had this dishwasher for about a year and am over all very satisfied with my purchase. I have had not problems with the dishwasher. There are several nit picking things that irritate me though.

Most important of all I have found that the dishwasher does an outstanding job of cleaning glasses and dishes. It has an upgraded silverware holder with dividers for each piece. This is a great asset as it prevents nesting of the silverware and generates consistently clean silverware. The washing area is cavernous and there are numerous holders and racks for various kinds of cups and glasses.

There are a mind numbing number of controls, most of which I do not use. The unit is very quiet and has a delayed start that permits automatic deferred operation up to 9 hours latter. The controls and settings is very flexible. One thing that you are not aware of before you buy is that the digital display is always active, even when the dishwasher is not on, when the door is latched shut. I find it highly irritating to see the setting for wash and time showing on the display all of the time even though the dishwasher has not been set to operate.

There are a number of aesthetic issues with the door. I have the stainless exterior door panel which I have learned is a tremendous pain to keep finger prints and water marks off of. A large amount of debris tends to get trapped inside the dishwasher between the base of the door and tub base. This is unsightly and requires period manual cleaning with a sponge. The detergent dispenser is extremely poorly designed for powder soap. The trays are very small and difficult to pour detergent into, especially of your box of detergent is full. It easy to pour to much into the detergent holder and fill the latch area with detergent. This makes it difficult to close the detergent holder cover. The full panel front door is nice but you also have to bend down further put dishes on the lower level.

In summary a very good dishwasher. It cleans for me very well. Its small quirks keep it from being rated an outstanding dishwasher.
