A Cold Winter Saturday
Every Saturday is a cleaning day for me, but this day was particularly special in that my daughter was visiting her grandparents and my husband was working. I delighted in the fact that I could completely clean my house from top to bottom, and ceiling to floor, including cleaning the carpet with my extractor.

I had already completed the wipe-down of my home and had already used my 2 yr old brand name vacuum and vacuumed all of my carpeting. I was preparing to use the extractor. Well, just when I was ready to begin cleaning with the extractor, my doorbell rang and stranded on my doorstep was the Kirby Salesman, a college student.

I tried to tell him I wasn't interested, I already had a new sweeper and I had plans for the rest of the morning. He assured me that he was at my home to help me. So I took his offer to clean my house.

He took the Gsix out of the box, assembled it quickly and he began showing me the features of the vacuum. As he vacuumed my already vacuumed floor, the Kirby picked up all of the dirt buried deep in the carpet fibers. I couldn't believe how much of a difference it made. I begged the Salesman to let me try it and it operated so smoothly because it has a patented Tech Drive which is a sophisticated transmission type system. I have operated old Kirby's before and this one was unlike the other workhorses because it actually glided across my carpeting. I have many different carpeting types in my home such as: wool area rugs; berber; high pile; and indoor and outdoor carpeting, and it cleaned all equally well.

Another nice feature of the Gsix is that is also comes with a Certified HEPA Micron Magic Filtration System which does not allow the dust to kick back up into your home when the vacuum cleaner is turned on.

I was amazed at how well it cleaned, and how smoothly it operated on all of my carpeting, and how it kept the house clean with the HEPA Filtration System.

Additional Features to Brag About
Not only is the Gsix a great upright, it is also a great cannister vacuum too. It converts from upright to cannister is one click of a button.

It comes with many attachments such as a crevice tool, floor brush, bed brush, and tube extenders to name a few. To use the attachments to clean your upholstery, walls, ceilings, windows, screens, blinds, and drapes, all you do is remove the floor brush by turning the handle crank and inserting the hose in the floor brush location. You can attach any of the attachments to perform the above functions quickly and easily. You can even clean your bed with the bed brush attachment. You won't believe how much dirt you will get out of your mattress.

So Much More Than The Average Vacuum
My Gsix came with the Floor Shampooer and paint sprayer attachments. I haven't used my extractor since purchasing my Gsix. In addition to the shampooer, you can purchase additional optional accessories to do just about anything such as:
*Zipp Brush for small space cleaning
*Hard Floor Care Kit-actually applies Canuba Wax
*Turbo Accessory System-Unit can become a sander, massager, buffer, etc.

With Kirby, the possibilities are unlimited.

The Purchase
I was sold on the unit after we vacuumed my new mattress (only 6 months old) and all of the dirt came out of it.

The base price for the unit is: $1400. I was told that there was a special on the Gsix for $1100 and they will take a trade of any vacuum unit in the home for $200. So my unit cost me $900 with all of the attachments, floor shampooer, paint sprayer, and 2 extra HEPA bags. It was the best purchase I made in my life. I like the fact that it does have a lifetime warranty and it was warrantied in the name of my child who is only 3. I imagine she will inherit the vacuum when she attend college someday.

I think I was the Salesman's very first sale, because when the "Closer" came to do the paperwork, he looked as if he was in shock of making such a large sale.

Summary
This vacuum can deliver the cleanliness that you expect for a reasonable price. It is easy to operate, comes with many everyday attachments, and is backed by an awesome lifetime warranty. I was glad I met the Salesman on that Cold Winter Morning.
