| sand-piper's Full Review: ABF U-Pack Moving |
I was looking for an inexpensive way to move a small amount of furnishings from Texas to Boston without driving a rental truck and dragging my car. One of the major van lines suggested U-Pack and I am glad they did. Although packing the trailer was hard work for my son and I, my overall experience with ABF U-Pack was very gratifying. We had a problem with the pump on the bulkhead which was remedied by the driver who picked up the packed trailer. The terminal representatives at both ends were courteous, helpful and efficient. All of our questions and requests were answered truthfully and completely. The trailer drivers on both ends were also kind and humorous. Metro Boston is not the easiest place to move into under any circumstances, but all problems were solved and all needs met in a timely manner. We did have to do a live-park ( the truck-driver has to stay in the truck) for the unload which can get expensive if you don't get your stuff unloaded quickly. Pack well as your possessions get heavily jostled and resettled. Watch the video and get the ramp - it was well worth the extra expense. We did not have to rush to Massachusetts as there are multiple ways to handle the destination timing and so we enjoyed a leisurely road trip from Texas to Boston. Highly recommended alternative(from a 56 year old woman and her 23 year old son).
