| kuma601's Full Review: Zojirushi NS-JCC18 Neuro Fuzzy 10-Cup Rice Cooker |
After heavy usage, the lid on our first Zojirushi (one of the simple models like the NCR-10) began to warp after 7 years of every other day usage. We had bought a NS-JCC18 as a gift and the recipient raved about it so we decided to replace ours with this model. It's construction and design is much better we felt. The other cooker had a removable aluminum internal lid and the drip catch on the old model were chores to clean-up.
The Neuro Fuzzy model eliminates this and clean-up is simple as wiping it down.
The various rice settings for hard, normal and soft are nice touches. The delay feature allows cooking rice in a timely manner. Rice to us tastes best in it's first hour; after that the texture changes, though this cooker keeps it very nice up to 4-5 hours.
