I stayed at the hotel for one night only as a personal getaway. I live in Chicago and wanted to get away from the roommates for a night. The hotel is located right on the river and, even though I did not have one, offers a great view of the river...especially in summer. Although I did not have any bad experiences, I can't say that I was blown away by this hotel. It is very big and has a business feel. The room was large enough, but everything in it seemed a little unclean..and I am not a germ-a-phobe by any means. I am actually more tolerant of things like this than most people I know. The hallways were kind of nasty and the pool and fitness area looked unkempt. Room service came right away, yet my dirty dishes remained in the hallway from 9:00pm until 12:00pm the next day. It just seemed like the staff didn't care. If you are coming to Chicago on business and can get a cheap rate, I say go for it...but if you are here on vacation and want something fun, I say look elsewhere.
