Last summer when I became engaged we had talked about getting married in July of 2000. By the end of August he somehow managed to get me to move the date up to November! Now instead of have almost a year to plan a wedding, there was just over 3 months. <<Enter Stress>>
So I went out and grabbed a bunch of bridal magazines, did a lot of research on the Internet, and set out to planning the perfect wedding.
One of the magazines I had picked up was Bridal Guide. There was so much information in it I carried it with me everywhere. I may not have followed all of their recommendations on how to plan a perfect wedding, but it certainly gave me a lot to think about.
Bridal Gowns - Wow, what a selection! There were simple gowns, extravagant gowns, expensive gowns, and really out of the ordinary gowns. The really neat thing that I loved was how they incorporated the Internet into their magazine. Before I read this magazine I never would have thought to buy a gown off the Internet. I didn't end up doing it, but through browsing the advertisements in the magazine, going to the referenced web sites, and then finding local locations, I did manage to find the perfect place to buy my gown. Hairdo's - There are so many different styles you can choose from when getting married. The thing I liked about the magazine was the models didn't keep the same hairstyles as they modeled different dresses. This gave me a lot of great ideas of what I could do with my own.
Budget's - Just how much does a nice wedding cost? Well, you have to get the gowns and tuxes, the hall or church, and the food ... but I hadn't thought about the pictures, invitations, priest, music, gifts for the bridesmaids and groomsmen and so much more. Luckily they also gave some good ideas as to how to cut some of these costs. :-)
Jewelry - If you haven't gotten to the engagement ring yet, you really should check out Bridal Guide. They have some wonderful advertisement, and a lot of the stores have websites you can go to to get that truly unique ring.
Bridal Guide was wonderful for me. Not only did it give me great ideas on what I wanted for my own wedding, it gave me the opportunity to dream of how wonderful it would be. And my wedding was perfect ... (except that a layer of the cake got crushed ... but that had nothing to do with the magazine)
I would definitely recommend this magazine for any woman getting ready to get married ... because there is a lot to plan for.
