I used to be a subscriber to Sports Illustrated until my brother ordered me a gift subscription to ESPN the magazine for Christmas. I immediately liked this magazine (and the fleece that went with it).
I like ESPN the magazine because they also cover "extreme sports," like snowboarding and skateboarding (like the X games), besides the usual football, hockey, baseball, and basketball. The pictures are definitely better than Sports Illustrated. I also think that the articles and interviews are better written than Sports Illustrated. I also believe that ESPN the magazine is targeted toward the younger
market (ages 15-35) than Sports Illustrated. I believe ESPN the magazine is a better magazine over all. The question is why didn't it come out sooner?
