dsb15's Full Review: Off the Wall [Remaster] by Michael Jackson
For over 30 years Michael Jackson has gave the world nothing but the best music, and if you're a new fan, I suggest you start with this album. Released in 1979, "Off The Wall" was the foundation of what would become the MJ legacy(the allegations has screwed up that legacy). Nothing but the classics are on this album, everything from the funky "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough", to the laid back and smooth groove of "Rock With You". This is in my epinion Michael's masterpiece, his best album(even though "Thriller" gets all the attention). I think that this album is an important milestone in black music history and without a doubt influenced a whole legion of artists today(Usher, Justin Timberlake). I don't see how you can call yourself a MJ fan and not have this album. An all out masterpiece.
