I can't believe I wrote this review 7.5 years ago! Wow! In any case, I'm still a fan of strange films--especially ones with a message (even sarcastic). Thanks for the comment.

Burn. It's becoming a classic for me. Even if it falls apart at the end, it at least falls apart for good reason.

Terrific review. I love strange films too. :)

Is it just Reznor? (Reply to this comment)

I have soundtracks to two other movies in which Quentin Tarantino has had some hand: "Pulp Fiction" and "Jackie Brown." I think Tarantino also has fine musical taste. One of these days, I hope to catch up to this soundtrack, too. Thanks for sharing!

I haven't seen the movie yet, but this is one of my favorite soundtracks (along with Vangelis's booyah! 'track for the horrible film 1492: Conquest of Paradise). As you mention, its seamless integration of several scenes from the movie into the music and wide range of musical styles are what endeared it to myself. It's easier for me to say what I don't like from the soundtrack, and that's only a mild dislike of the rap...

... otherwise, Cohen with his dark dark 'it's not Hellowe'en but I'm gonna creep you out anyway' songs, the Junkies (it took me a few years to become a Junkhead), Dylan, Eddy, AOS, Khan... hooyeah!

Thanks for bringing this one to people's attention Shelley! ...t-žoo

Great review on an amazing soundtrack. I also totally loved the flick and the music complimented it perfectly.

'Ole Rez is a mastermind at times (save Lost Highway ).

Anyway... Kudos.

Better than mine's of course. That record is one of my favorite soundtracks of all-time and your review was one of the best this year. Thank you. :)
