cinderella730's Full Review: All I Need to Know by Kenny Chesney
I LOVE Kenny Chesney!
I have all of his albums....and as soon as he puts out another, I'll have that one too! His ballads tug on your heart strings, and the faster songs get your heart pumping. He makes you laugh...and he makes you cry.
The first song on this album, "Fall In Love", is cute and romantic. You can't help but sing along.....
"A little country church on a two lane road, a bride and a groom coming out the door. White lace dress and a red bouquet, "Just Married" written on a blue chevrolet. Don't that make you want to fall in love, don't that look like a picture of us, a match made in heaven if there ever was.."
The next track is "Grandpa Told Me So" This song will have you crying like a baby. It's a great slow song, and it tells the wonders of a grandfather. What a special person! You'll never feel the same for another person.
"The Bigger The Fool (The Harder The Fall)" comes next. As soon as Kenny starts singing, your feet start tapping. You just can't help it. It's got a great beat.
The title track comes at you next...what an incredible love song! What woman wouldn't love to be serenaded with this song??
"With a little luck, this old truck will get me home today, with a little more, it'll get me home tomorrow. Weather man says, wet weekend, he just might be right. Rain or shine, you'll be mine tonight....that's all I need to know, in a world where most things come and go. I'll always have you to hold. That's all I need to know" awww...Guys, that's the way to do it!!
The next song is so cute. "Honey Would You Stand By Me" It's just a cute song asking a love..."Honey...??"
"If I quit my job for the simple life...If I tried my luck in hollywood...Honey would you stand by me?" It's not too fast...but not really a buckle polisher either.
"Someone Else's Hog" follows. This is a real quickie. You barely have the time to listen to the words! But, once you do, you'll like it as much as the rest of the album.
"Me and You" comes next, and it's one of my favorites!! My memory of this song is sitting on a grassy hill, on a beautiful summer day, watching Kenny sing it to all the couples. It's a slow, beautiful love song. "Ordinary, no. I really don't think so, not a love this true. Common destiny, we were meant to be...me and you. Like a perfect scene from a movie screen, we're a dream come true." Another great song to play to your "soul mate". It really sets the mood.
The next song, "Between Midnight and Daylight" isn't really one of his best... It's not real catchy...I pass by it everytime I play the CD.
"Paris, Tennessee" definitely makes up for the previous song. This is so cute. He's trying to impress the girl by taking her to Paris....except they won't be going over any oceans... another catchy song...vou le vou...barbeque??
The last song on this album is "The Tin Man" I've done a seperate review on the single. It's my absolute favorite song on the CD. It's suited for someone who has just been hurt by a loved one. Remember, the tin man, didn't have a heart....so, he's saying that he wishes he were the tin man, b/c he wouldn't have a heart to break. It's so sad, and will most likely make you cry...save the best for last!!!
