Feable Weiner is re-releasing their self-released full-length album, Dear Hot Chick, but this time with a label supporting them. Adding four new tracks to the newly remastered 7 gives the album a total of 11 tracks of pop-punk goodness in it.
Now this band has nothing extraordinary about them. It's just you basic pop-punk with nice hooks, perfect harmonies and catchy melodies; but it is still something which you can not simply just dismiss after listening to it once. There's something in it which grabs you and gets you to listen to it again. My best guess would be the incredibly catchy and hilarious vocals.
Right away you can tell that the band is not one which takes themselves to seriously. Just look at the band name and the track listing. Songs like Handjobs, U Minus Cool, Lameface and Attorneying Me On catch your attention right away simply by the funny lyrics. Of course, like most pop-punk bands lately, a major theme in the lyrical content is the feminine sex. Begging for dates, getting turned on, saying you need more then just handjobs for a good relationships all come up at one time or another in this 11 track CD.
This Doghouse Records' artist won't blow up like The All-American Rejects or The Get Up Kids did, but it will make some small waves in the underground community. The album isn't one of the best of the year by far, but it is one which is truly enjoyable. Whatever mood your in, you can always come back to your Feable Weiner and find some comfort and humor in their melodic pop-punk songs.
