Re: Awesome Review (Reply to this comment)

Thank you. I understand not liking a music for its musical merit or lack of, but when folks label something bad just because they think they understand the politics or "meaning" it irks me.
Thanks for stopping by & understanding what I had to say.
Shelly.

Awesome Review (Reply to this comment)
by emmit_brown
I agree 100% on what you said. I am a fan of Marilyn Manson's and I dislike how people "label" him and those who listen to his music. I don't find Marilyn (Bryan Warner) evil. Maybe twisted. But he is Athiest and Athiests believe neither in gods nor anti-gods. You totally expressed how I feel over the singer and I say Kudos to you. There are people out there who misunderstand his messages and take his music the wrong (darker) way. If Marilyn really affected the morality of its fans, I would have abandoned church years ago (yes, I am religious and am a non-violent person). But I am still the same person I was before I heard his music years ago. Anyhow, awesome frickin review.

Good Review (Reply to this comment)

My only complaint was that Coma White and Coma Black were missing. Those are both some of my personal favorite manson songs.

Hey, I can't believe that you got ripped on and let's take the bum out. To quote Pesci, "there's a lotta holes in the desert, and a lot of problems buried in those holes." I think there are some literary holes in the eeps desert too.
Loved this review - I don't have any of Marilyn's work, but have always thought him introspective. He is a very interesting interview. He was on Bill Maher one night and really got my attention. He was lucid and well thought out and mostly he wasn't just trying to shock anyone.
Great job as always....and don't let the nibbling rats make your toes bleed, you are loved!!

It's still there. Just not linked. I got some REALLY nasty e-mail believe it or not. Somebody didn't like my music reviews and was like "why should I believe somebody who had cancer?" but in much nastier terms.

while I'm not a big manson fan, i do like some of his songs. The dope Show, the Beautiful people, and long hard road are probably my favourites. and that Tainted love cover is rather terrifying but cool. Great review as usual.
