| ieatjellybeans's Full Review: Blade Runner |
Blade Runner is a classic film that was made even better with Director's Cut of the film. The film has a wonderful underlying theme which asks, "Are we really human?" This theme, the wonderful noir feel, and the acting all make this movie worth your while.
Harrison Ford turns in a wonderful performance as Deckard, the reluctant Blade Runner. Also, Rutger Hauer is a treat to watch with his portrayal of Roy. The rest of the cast also give wonderful performances. If you're looking for acting in a sci-fi classic, then this is it.
The look and feel of this film give you an appreciation for the time and effort that Ridley Scott put into the film. Los Angeles looks appropriately dark and dingy. The atmosphere created by Scott adds a lot of dimensionality to the film. Apart from the acting, this atmosphere is the best thing about this movie. The special effects don't even look like they're too out of date.
I recommend that anyone who enjoys a good film with good acting see this film. And if you're an addict of science fiction then this is a must-see.
