Rachel-
Some of my friends and I were just discussing this one the other day- our new phone books arrived and we were re-enacting the scene where Nathin was overcome with excitement: "The new phonebook is here! The new phonebook is here!" There was also a reference to his 'special purpose' we were trying to recall, but we were a bit fuzzy about that particular scene.

Oh man I love this movie. It drags a little in the middle when he joins the circus but the beginning and ending are just comedic classics.
Excellent writeup and thanks for reminding me of this one.
