Good movie, great review (Reply to this comment)

This is a fun movie and you've done it justice, as always. Well done.
I hope the Army appreciates your talents, and that you're able to return from Iraq soon so you can continue sharing your invaluable insights and enjoyable prose with your appreciative legions of fans. Take care over there, Dave, and best of luck.

I'm especially intrigued by the thematic comparison to Jean Reno in The Professional, which I just loved.
Excellent notion, that one.
Good post, Dave.

As always, David, everything is great, it's just Finn getting emotional:
The next thing you know, Humphrey Bogart will be taking up ballet.
Ballet? What's wrong with ballet?
*saw Billy Elliot yesterday*

I can't help remembering Chandler's comment... (Reply to this comment)

that Ladd was a small boy's idea of a tough guy while Bogie was the genuine article.
Great review, -again!-

I have to admit.... (Reply to this comment)

I have a soft spot for guys who are kind to animals, particularly to the really forlorn-looking ones, even if they happen to be cats. I'm a dog person myself.
Great intro! I love it when a reviewer takes the time to detail a particularly telling scene or gesture in a movie. It's what separates the really superb reviews from the merely good ones.
