Masculine sensibility, pshaw! (Reply to this comment)
by Nicholmere
An action packed thrill ride with plenty of tender, bonding moments, yet none of them involving a female lead that might threaten a fragile feminine ego - What more could a gal ask for?
Schwarzenegger and Grant are certainly two names that one doesn’t often hear mentioned in the same sentence. Chow Yun Fat is all that with a cherry bomb on top.
Exciting movie, great review!
Thanks,
NM

that you were able to follow the plot at all, Mike. But as you said, it's not about the plot.

Saw both through the eyes of my action-oriented sons.... (Reply to this comment)

...and wish I had had some of the background you wrote about here at the time.
Puts it all very much into focus. I'm coming around to appreciating the best of the genre -- and Woo in particular -- more and more, though it's still not my default cup of tea.
Well done.
cheers,

In my opinion the above would be a great team.
In the UK I have not heard of A Better Tomorrow 2, but will now try and get a copy as it sound like my kind of film.
GREAT OP
