Dear Susi: All news is local, the journalism profs tell their classes. Your review certainly reinforces that observation.
I never quite made the connection between Susan Granger and S. Sylvan Simon. He turned out some pretty entertaining movies, especially those with Red Skelton: WHISTLING IN THE DARK (1941), WHISTLING IN DIXIE (1942), WHISTLING IN BROOKLYN (1943), and THE FULLER BRUSHMAN (1946).
Thank you, Susi.

Sorry. Great work on this one, gotta be the most tenuous link to the A-list out of the lot.
Hope you had fun reviewing this film, and many thanks for taking part.

if you can't find it at the local stores, I purchased mine at CDnow.com for $14. It really is worth it!
I've always thought Collie's were beautiful creatures. Never owned one, mostly Labs & Shepherds and one stray Chow.
Thanks

Our very Own Susan Granger? (Reply to this comment)

Who used-ta write encouraging words on my sucky reviews? Well I'll be go to hell! What a delightful review of a movie I don't think I have ever seen...but will now try and find somewhere. It will become an obsession! Don't know whether to hug you or hit you...fortunately, I'll just have to settle for saying thanks for a most unusual and interesting movie review!
You are amazing.

I admit, I was surprised I enjoyed it so. Maybe I'm getting softer in my old age?
Perhaps I need to drag out my copy of King Kong again, just for old times sake.
Thanks,
Susi

no problem Susan, I really enjoyed the film, so much different than my usual fare.
I would have, however, insisted that dad at least include my name in the credits - smile.
It is such a beautiful film, I wish there were more like it today.

When I saw you'd reviewed this film, my heart kinda stopped for a moment...I mean, it's a very old-fashioned kinda film...
Then, when I saw how much you liked it, I was delighted....and so flattered that you remembered that I was in it. The "older girl" in the "wheelbarrow/wood" scene with me became known as actress Terry Moore. At the time, she was a teenager named Helen Koford. (More trivia...)
My thanks...

Peter Crawford? (Reply to this comment)
by AEOakley
Haven't seen this one...but I think instead of Peter Crawford, you meant to write Peter Lawford, right? (4th paragraph...later on you have him as Peter Lawford.)
I'll have to rent it now so I can see Susan Granger!
