George,

I may live in NJ, but I'm not originally from here and no, we don't say Joisey.

The folks south of Trenton sound like they're from Philly and the people from north of Trenton sound a lot like New Yawkahs!

Me, I'm from the far east end of Long Island and have a broadcaster's neutral accent. I've also lived in NC (Ft Bragg), GA (Savannah), FL (Tyndall AFB), AL (Maxwell AFB), ND (Grand Forks AFB), CA (metro LA), ID (Mountain Home AFB) and Vermont (Burlington).

I'm glad I have no known regionalisms. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Isn't that pronounced Joisey? :-)

Liked the way you spelled Harvard =)

Because I once lived in Jersey for 17 years, I now pronounce my R's that would put a Kennedy to shame. =)

Saw The Firm and liked it. Nice review as always.

You know, Carol, a dog is something you just can't explain, can you? I have never been so loved in my life as I have by my furry little people. One of them can even almost talk.

I would be king of the world if it were up to my dog! Sorry about your loss!

Seeing the picture of your white dog on your profile page made my heart go flip-flop and brought tears to my eyes.

I could be looking at my beloved Tiffany who passed away at the end of January. How I miss that dog so much!!!!! I had almost 15 years of happiness with her. I still am unable to look at her picture w/o the symptoms.

If I get my hands on the book again I'll scan it. I really seem to remember having a negative impression after reading Grisham, maybe it was another of his books? Thanks for stopping!

Great review. =)

I actually loved the book and was greatly disappointed by the movie. I've read the book several times now, but I've only seen the movie once. I won't watch it again. I thought the book was so much better. There was just too much stuff that was changed.
I think the movie versions of The Pelican Brief and The Client were much better. Those I've seen several times.

Maybe I'll need to look at the book again. It was quite a few years ago but I seem to remember moving Grisham to the bottom of my reading list after reading it.

Thanks for mentioning Jeff Bridges. He is one of the best of the new breed. I have hardly seen him in a bad performance. And Gary Busey! I can't say enough about that guy!
