8 Seconds is a wonderful movie that tells the story of Lane Frost, the legendary bull rider who changed the way the rodeo is today. I saw this movie now only because it was about the rodeo, but because it was about one of the greatest hero's of my childhood.
Lane frost started riding when he was just 4 years old. He met his wife Kelly on the rodeo circuit. With his parents always by his side, and with Kelly he makes it to Cheyenne, the "big daddy" of the rodeo circuit. The story is tragic and exciting all at the same time, and will leave you feeling a sense of pride in "the old west".
This movie is better than other movies of it's kind, because it actually tells Lane's life to a "T". There is actual footage from interviews of Lane & family & friends, snapshots and his rides at the beginning and end of the movie. Also, friends of Lane's did all the bull-riding that was in the film.
This movie is for anyone that likes to Old West, Romance, rodeos and well, just about anyone.
Lane Frost once said "Don't be afraid to go after what you want to do, and what you want to be, but don't be afraid to be willing to pay the price."
