This is probably one of the funniest comedies I have ever seen. I can watch this movie over and over without having to fast forward or skip through any scenes! This movie is the second in Kevin Smith's View Askew series. The first was Clerks, and the other two are Chasing Amy and Dogma, with a fifth to come out in the near future.
The plot is basically at its heart a love story. Brodie Bruce, and TS Quint are both dumped by their girlfriends in the same morning. What's a guy to do when he gets dumped? Why, go to the Mall, of course! The two dashing heroes jet out to the mall in NJ (in reality, it's in Minnesota), where they meet up with Jay & Silent Bob, "two guys with even less to do" than Brodie & TS. They find out that TS' ex-girlfriend is going to appear on a dating game for her father, and it will be broadcast from the mall. They concoct a plan to stop the show and get both guys' girls back.
The dialogue in this movie is some of the funniest I've ever heard in a movie, and the actors are great in their roles. (You can catch a pre-Armageddon Ben Affleck as the movie's antagonist, who hates Brodie for no discernable reason) If you want to watch a movie that has great lines, outrageous situations, and great actors, watch Mallrats.
