I have to admit that I bought this movie because of the cover. The psychedelic yellow, lime green and hot pink just caught my eye! It just jumps out and screams GROOVY!

Overall plot: Austin Powers, secret agent, was frozen in the 60s and is thawed and brought back to life in the 1990s to battle his enemy Dr. Evil. He and his girlfriend (Ms. Kensington) try to stop Dr. Evils plans to control the world. Throughout the movie he is adjusting to living in the 90s and how different it is from the 60s.

Mike Myers grated on my nerves after the first few minutes of the movie. The excess body hair and awful teeth made him a difficult character to really enjoy.

Characters include Mike Myers (Austin Powers), Michael York, Robert Wagner, Mimi Rogers, Elizabeth Hurley (Ms. Kensington) and Carrie Fisher.

The movie has some great special effects and I really enjoyed the 60s music. It has too much "almost" nudity for me to feel comfortable letting my 14 year old watch it. While nothing is ever actually shown, it is very suggestive and often times body parts are only barely hidden. There is also quite a bit of swearing and offensive language and body humor.

A great laugh for adults who are looking for a groovy trip back to the 60s but not a family movie.
