Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie's plot.
At first, when I was about to rent Home Alone 3, I had my doubts on that. I thought, "Will it be worth my while?” "is it as good as the two previous ones?".
A computer chip, which has top-secret plans, disappeared. It was put in a toy car. The U.S. is offering $10 million for whoever finds the chip and brings it to them.
Four international thieves are after the chip. Their leader is the foreign, deadly Petr (no, it's not Peter) Beaupre (Olek Krupa). He hears that the chip travelled from Hong Kong, to San Francisco, to Chicago. This quartet, travels to Chicago, they discover on which street it is, but still not the exact location of it.
Alex Pruitt (Alex D. Linz) is a cute, 8-year-old kid. Alex shovelled snow for his mean, old neighbor, Mrs. Hess (Marian Seldes). Mrs. Hess was cheap, and didn't want to pay Alex, and she had a useless toy car (the one with the microchip), so she gave to this youngster who will enjoy it, more than she will. Alex goes home, discovering that he has chicken pox. For the next few days, Alex has to stay home.
The thieves go to every house on the street. When they came to Alex's house, he was home alone (and the thieves knew that), they didn't expect much from such a little rugrat. Alex surprised them, with booby traps. The thieves were sorry they came over this kid.
Soon the FBI came and arrested the four crooks. Alex gave away the chip, and got rewarded for it. Alex's brother, Stan (Seth Smith), and his Sister, Molly (Scarlett Johansson), who had no faith in Alex, now were very proud.
Unlike Home Alone 1, or Home Alone 2, this time, there were 4 criminals, and just one kid took on all of them.
Of course, if you want to know all about the movie, I would suggest you watch it.
This is the best movie out of the Home Alone series, at least to my OPINION. Home Alone 3 is a must-watch. If you've seen the previous ones, you must see this one.
I would recommend this movie to kids and adults of any age. The bad thing about the movie is that the movie teaches young kids, that they have to take matters into their own hands to be trusted. Other than that, this is the best movie of its series.
