Plot
American Pie is a movie about a group of teenage boys who are seniors in high school. The story revolves around Jim (Jason Biggs), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), and Oz (Chris Klein) who have all yet to experience the joy of losing their virginity. They are continuously harassed by Stifler (Seann William Scott), a guy from school who claims to have scored with several girls and seems to be popular with the girls. The guys team together and make a pact to lose their virginity by prom night. Join the gang for wild parties, making new friends, finding girlfriends and to see who gets laid first. This movie contains lots of laughs along the way and the trials and tribulations of the big event. It will send you on your way to a trip down "Memory Lane"!
My Thoughts On American Pie
This is a movie that teenagers can relate to as well as adults. We have all been there! The movie is full of laughs, some crude humor but also deals with real life situations and relationships. The characters were all well cast and I liked each and every one of them. The roles were also diversified. For instance, they were not all "jocks" or all "nerds" but a mixture of all personalities.
I especially enjoyed the role of Eugene Levy who played Jim's dad. He was hilarious and always seemed to appear at the wrong times. He was was always there to give advice whether it was wanted or not!
I found that this movie moved along pretty well for a movie that was almost 2 hours long and not much substance for a plot. There are short periods where the movie slows down and captures a bit of reality, but those are few and far between. For the most part, you will be holding your stomach laughing your butt off!

Recommendation
I recommend American Pie to older teens and adults. This is not a movie for children of any age. It is adult humor, and some of it quite crude. It also contains profanity, and lots of sex! I give American Pie 4 Stars.
