This movie focused on 2 sisters, who are complete opposites. Bianca is "ms.perfect;" the one who is adored by everybody. The pretty, popular teen that every girl admires and every boy drools after. And then there is Kat, she known as the "heinous b&%*h." She's the one who appears to be sarcastic, cynical, hating the world, but is really just misunderstood and believes in doing things because you believe in them and not because people expect you to. Kat is a senior in high school and Bianca is a sophomore. Their father is very strict and basically keeps his daughters as far away as possible from teenage havoc. In this movie, they have been placed under the rule that Bianca can only date when her sister does, which doesn't appear as though it will happen any time soon. In this movie, the 2 girls are forced to understand each other. Through as a series of teenage romance crisis, including one in which kat's heart is toiled with when she falls in love with the guy who has been paid to take her out. But like other teen romance flicks, this one too must end in a happy ending. The one in which everyone is happy.

It's very cute. For a teenage flick, it's smart. Sure it is very stereotypical, but it does it to prove a point. The point being that we can all get along if we take the time to understand where each person is coming from and what lies behind our actions. Not just base everything on the actions themselves. Because what appears on the outside isn't always true.

Also, the music for this album is great. It features songs like "I want you to want me," which is one of my favorites. But also has a great variety including a hit by George Clinton. I definitely recommend the sound track to those fans out there who appreciate bother rock, alternative, and r&b.

Also, this is one of Heath Ledger's first films (he is later seen in the patriot). He is incredibly sexy. His accent being the biggest turn on. and in the film, he even has a song-dance no, which shows off his remarkable singing talent. His acting is genuine and very note worthy. (I've seen him in other things, and the boy can act) Also, this is Julia Stiles first leading role (she had small cameos in other movies) and she does a very good job portraying Kat. One would say she fits the role perfectly. Other than that, the other actors/actresses fit their roles and do a job portraying their characters.

I recommend this movie to those in a fun mood. It's cute, funny and romantic. It has a great soundtrack and Heath Ledger will drive you nuts!
