Giving you a synopsis of this film would take away from your enjoyment of it. It took me a while to figure out just exactly was going on. Without giving away too much, I will say that this flick is about a man who cannot form NEW memories. Things are not what they seem for the main character and for the audience

The director/writers tell the story in an interesting fashion so that the audience can experience what its like to have this memory defect.

The concept is so original that Memento is one of those films that you'll think about and talk about for a few weeks after you see it. You might even want to see it again to notice more of the nuances, or try to pick up on any inconsistencies.

The acting is solid, and features "Ralphie" from the Sopranos as well as some new faces.

The downside: some people hate this film because its too confusing or "too damn weird." I agree that it can be confusing if you doze off or tune out, but its worth the effort to just pay careful attention. The "weirdness" I think just reflects a unique subject matter.
