| Tane25's Full Review: Glacier National Park |
I have visited a large majority of our Nations National and State parks, and I have to say of them all, Glacier National Park is the best; at least from my perspective. But I would also say its not for everyone and I will tell you why.
I am an avid nature/outdoor person, I love wildlife and real rugged wilderness, which these days is hard to find with all the commercial building and with our economics growing everyday. I love to camp, but I like real camping in the real wild. Glacier National Park offers this feature.
While it is monitored by rangers and such, there are still many risk factors and it is one of the more remote areas of our nation. There are bears, wolves, mountain lions, cougars, snakes... but even the smaller animals can be a bother to someone, you know the mice, spiders, insects and such.
Myself, I love it - its pure heaven to go and soak in all the beauty and majesty of it, to breath that air and to know for that time being there just how small you and your problems really are... Regardless of the time of the year, spring, summer, fall, and winter all of them offer their own unique beauty of the seasons. I would recommend this spot for a great get away vacation, but only to those who are outdoorsy types.
As I mentioned earlier its not for everyone. My mother for example, she hates the outdoors, or rather she hates spending time in remote areas and dangerous/risky situations. She also is not into the animal life, while she does love them and enjoys getting to see them she would rather see them in a zoo, not in the wild.
I do however, recommend that everyone makes a visit to this park (weather your an outdoor type or not) at least once in your life, just to view the beauty of it because it truly is a grand site to see and is well worth the visit. I don't believe anyone who does will be disappointed.
