This amplifier is a four channel amplifier, providing a clean 30RMS per channel, which may sound small, but this figure is underrated, which is proved by a signed certificate which states that at 12v DC, the amp provides 39w RMS. At 14v, that figure rises to 50+W RMS per channel. Bridged power is 80W RMS at 12v, and at 14v, this figure rises to 120W RMS. Therefor, you can power a wide range of speakers from this amplifier. It's looks are simple, yet you still know by the feel of the construction that this amp is going to cause a stir.
The amplifier can in fact take speaker level inputs, and provides the connections and instructions on how to do so.
Also, the amplifier can power four channels, from just 2 RCA inputs, via a small switch on the side panel. This eliminates the need for RCA splitters, which made my installation v.easy.
My 307 is used to power my front speakers. 2 channels are used to power my Boston Acoustic FX4's (dash), and the other two are powering my Infinity 652i's (doors).
Each set of speakers have their own cut off freq set, as well as individual gain settings, so setting up the front stage was a delight.
The terminals are all gold plated and have various attachments included to accommidate various install variations.
In usage, there is no turn on noise, or any noise at all in that matter, that is until you put on your favorite music. The 307 delivers flawlessly, providing plenty of power to make my ear's ring by the end of the day. The sound is clean, with no distortion and does not get too hot, even when being pushed. The crossovers are simple to set up, and all the switches are explained in the extensive manual.
I love this amplifier. End of story.
