yoshi4205's Full Review: Altec Lansing VS4121 2 Speakers
These speakers give you quite a bang for your buck. I have never owned a set of speakers in this price range that can get as loud as these. And the bass on the speakers is exceptional. I almost always have to have the bass half-way up because it is so powerful. But when you want to really blast your music and really emphasize the bass, these speakers let you do that.
The speakers themselves have 3 knobs. A volume knob, treble knob, and bass knob.
The speakers are also very easy to set up. A problem with many speaker systems is the numerous of wires can get tangled up. There is just a wire connecting the computer to the subwoofer, a wire plugging the subwoofer into the power outlet, and then two wires coming out of the subwoofer to both speakers.
There is one problem with the speakers. If you play your music loud a lot (which I did), the you will only get about a year of life out of the speakers. After a year the sound quality of these speakers has seriously deteriorated. I know this isn't just my fault as my father had the same set of speakers and he experienced the same problem.
