Pros: Pretty, Easy to use, Fast, Lots of space, Still pretty.
Cons: Scratches Easily, Freezes Occaisionally, Low Battery Life (for a mp3 or cd player)
The Bottom Line: This mp3 player fits every persons lifestyle all you need is a mp3 collection of your favorite tunes and the hookups and you are good to go.

Apple has been the leader in innovation for the last few years and they have done it again with the release of the iPod. Sporting a nice shiny finish, it makes the heart of a geek fluuter as he reaches his white noise-making goal hidden beneath the creatively designed box.
My ipod has been a nice little music player to carry around. My music collection totals somewhere around 1600 songs which are near or at cd quality, which would make any mp3 cd player cringe. The firewire connector makes transfering that collection quite fast and charges the ipod at the same time. Too bad the charge tends to last only a maximum of 8hours, but it you like switching songs like me or using the backlight that time usually gets reduced to 4 hours.
The front controls take a little getting used to, but after you become used to their place you can find any song in your collection in a matter of seconds.
After time goes on (well, the next day) you will notice that the ipod will start to form scratches and scuffs. Now that I've had it for a while, it is covered in scratches and marks. Some it gets drops because the surface is so smooth. After you make the purchase you need to get yourself a skin to go over the ipod itself to prevent scratching.
I also must not, if you are using this on a pc it is not very likely that you have a firewire slot. So before you buy make sure that you can hook it up.
