Did you know I left at least 4 messages at your 1-800 numbers for Mr. Root, also Brent and more? Brent was the only one to call me back. I called Mr. Root yesterday at 3:45 pm my time and Mr. Root actually HUNG UP ON ME...it does not look good for your company. Perhaps you were closing at 5pm your time, however, he had no right to hang up on me.
My countertop dishwasher quite working. It made some real bad noise and the next day when I went to do the dishes, the water filled slowly but it did not do anything else. I did call a supervisor at All Inc. who services your dishwashers and she stated Danby was having problems with their pumps. Mr. Root insisted several times I use too much soap, before I had time to tell him I use 1/2 to 1 tsp. that is all. I know how critical it is to me being disabled that the dishwasher continues to work, so I baby it. 3-4 months after I received it, the water would not fill on the normal dishwashing mode, there fore I had to always use the short cycle. I even used rewash because the regular cycle would not fill with water. I did call Danby at that time but never got a call back from Mr. Root. So I put up with it. I never should of but I know just how touchy these dishwashers are. I have even researched Epionions on the web to find others have similar complaints. I also asked about an extended warranty and never got an answer. The units are not that inexpensive and should hold up longer than they do. When they work, they work great. However, your company really needs to take a serious look at #1 the longevity of their dishwashers and the pumps and #2 get rid of Mr. Root he is so unkind and when he hangs up on consumers he definitely should not be in customer service!!!
I would never buy another Danby product because of this reoccurring problem; unless you can prove to me you have worked on improving these factors. It has happened several times and does your company not take this serious enough to improve the quality and longevity of the product. How can a business expect to survive? I was a business owner for years prior to my disability and I could not imagine selling products of this nature and treating their customers the way Mr. Root has. Well, things like this lead to the BBB and attorney general and even class action suits, if it happens to enough consumers. I need your assistance in getting either a new pump (that will work) or a comparable replacement. I talked to Brent today and offered to try to replace the pump myself. What can I do? I was in a coma for 9days a year ago and have been disabled since. I live in an apartment with my son and have had diabetes for over 42 years. I only run the dishwasher once a day max, because he is only 10 and we do not use an excessive amount of dishes. But I am not healthy enough to do dishes due to my health. Please do be considerate enough to take this seriously and contact me. You may also talk Brent.
I would rather pay more for a product that lasts and works than pay a few hundred dollars for something that does not last. Plus good customer service is the key to todays leading businesses. David Root needs some anger management. Do your company a favor and tell the boss!
