Pros: Portable, quiet, light weight, and cleans well.
Cons: No aerator fitting for the tap quick connect. Longer discharge hose would be nice.
The Bottom Line: It is a better washing machine than I thought a little portable could be. It will wash a good sized load. Ideal for apartment dwellers.

We sold our home last year and moved into an apartment for the time being. We hated using the apartment building's machine so we looked around for a portable. We could not find one till this summer. It was the Danby.
We did not buy the Danby because it was the cheapest, best, warranty, and had the best reputation. It is the only portable washer available where I live. I disliked Danby products after owning a microwave that broke down shortly after the warranty expired, back when microwaves were more expensive.
We were a little apprehensive about how it would perform but were pleasantly surprised. It will wash a queen sized quilt with no difficulty. That made my wife smile. Cloths are cleaned well too.
The machine is very quiet when washing and spin drying. So quiet, I wondered if it was working. There is very little vibration, shaking, and moving. It just sits there and does its thing smoothly and quietly. Did I say quiet?
There are rollers mounted on the bottom for moving the machine if you are on smooth floor with no rug. I can lift the machine with the recessed handles by myself but it is better with two people. There is an adjustable stopper to put down once you are ready to run the machine. It is supposed to keep it from moving around. We don't bother with it as the machine hardly moves at all with the stopper up.
The Danby comes with enough fittings to hook it up to your sink taps. Easy to do with a pair of plyers. It can also be hooked up to permanent connections. Our only complaint is the lack of an aerator to use on the tap with the Danby quick connector installed. The discharge hose could be longer as well.
I am impressed with this little washing machine. My wife is happy. Life is good.
Hopefully it does not die shortly after the warranty. Yes. I bought an extended warranty. Normally, I would never buy extra warranty but in this case - certainly. These things are not that cheap. $330.00 Canadian.
