| MIDIMonster323's Full Review: eMachines T2245 PC Desktop |
I've always bought emachines-I know I get alot of computer for not alot of money. It may not be the latest and greatest, but I get my money's worth.
The T2245 was my first purchase of the new Black/Silver line. My first emachine was a 333K-what a jump to now! I usually purchase a new computer each year and donate my older one to someone who needs one-students, etc...
I like the DVD-ROM drive AND the CD-RW drives being on the same machine. The included software is minimal compared to what emachines was throwing on their computers 2 years ago-a bunk of marketing junk.
The USB ports are 2.0 and I've not had any issues whatsoever with connecting to the Net-even got 6 free months of MSN through Best Buy-which came in handy. EM's modem started out as junk and it seems that have corrected that issue. I just signed up for DSL and this computer ROCKS on the net.
The warranty program has leaped ahead from previous models. I haven't had to call tech support in about a year and a half with the latest models.
Bottomline, you get value AND you get a machine that gets the job done without a lot of bells and whistles-just the things you need.
