The Eureka Enviro Steamer ~ 300 Series is better than having a maid ... well ... almost! But don't be fooled ... if push came to shove and I was given a maid ... I'd jump on that opportunity! Reality being what it is ... that won't be happening in the near (or distant) future ... so for the time being ... I'll keep my Enviro!
First, let me share a secret with you ... I do NOT enjoy cleaning our floors! (But I guess that it is not much of a secret because my family would quickly point out to you that I detest doing the floors!) Our entire lower level of our home is ceramic tile except for the guest bedroom, which is carpeted. When we found our house over a year ago on a week long house hunting trip (we were relocating from South America back to the United States) we were so pleased to find a home that was in our price range, good schools in the area, workable floor plan and it was available when we needed ... that the ceramic tile was never a concern for me. We were just happy to find a new home ...
Fast forward a few months ... The reality of having off-white ceramic tile with a black dog, two children and all of their friends tromping through the house has set in. One afternoon while talking with my girlfriend on the phone she shared with me one of the Christmas gifts she had received from her husband. Yep! The Eureka Enviro Steamer ...
She spoke highly of this machine and after viewing the machine in action at her house ... I decided ... I HAD to have one for myself!
I have to admit that I had problems locating the Eureka Enviro Steamer at first. I tried K-Mart, Bed, Bath & Beyond and even Lowes before finally finding it at Target. (I should have known better!) And better yet ... it was only $69.99 (compared to the suggested retail price of $79.99).
Once home I eagerly unpacked my new machine and quickly assembled it. With just four quick steps of assembly ... I was ready to start cleaning my floors. I poured the required amount of water into my Enviro, made sure it was sitting on the preheating/cool down tray, and then waited approximately 5 minutes for the steam to appear.
The Eureka Enviro Steamer ~ 300 Series is not a large machine, which does comes in handy for storage, and is very maneuverable. The extra long power cord is a plus for use in a larger room. The ease of whisking away the dirt of my floors is remarkable. If I find a problem area, I set the Enviro on a that spot for a few seconds, and then wipe away! It is VERY important NOT to leave the Enviro in one spot for more than 15 seconds as the heat from the steam can reach temperatures in excess of 200 degrees. And because I am using steam ... my floors dry faster ... which I have found to be a real plus!
The Enviro Steamer is ideal for ~
~ ceramic
~ marble
~ vinyl
~ parquet
~ stone
~ linoleum
~ sealed hardwood floors
Advantages to using The Enviro Steamer ~
~ Use of this machine is without detergents or soaps therefore, it is safe for the environment.
~ When used properly, this machine can aid in killing dust mites and some types of bacteria, such as salmonella and E-coli. I found this to be an added bonus! :)
~ And as I mentioned above, my floors dry quicker!
~ Two floor cloths are supplied which can be thrown in the laundry for a quick cleaning. Just make sure NOT to dry them in the dryer as they could shrink.
Any disappointment with my Enviro Steamer? ~
Nope! I have yet to be disappointed with my Eureka Enviro Steamer ~ 300 Series and would highly recommend it to others who are looking for an easier way to clean their floors. In fact ... I have found that by using my Enviro I get the job done quicker and easier. And ... I don't miss digging out my mop and bucket one bit! :)
The Eureka Enviro Steamer does come with a limited warranty. For more information regarding this machine, or it's warranty ...
