| slc7's Full Review: Fisher and Paykel DD-603SS 23 in. Built-in Dishwas... |
The idea is good; two drawers to meet heavy or light dish washing needs and conserve energy in the process. In actuality, the premise doesn't work well. The drawers do not hold much, and plates must be placed in a specific location or the drawer will not close. This further reduces it's capacity. The wash cycles are extremely long--115 minutes or more...which is a further waste of resources, especially since the limited capacity may require that both drawers be run at the same time. It is quiet and an attractive appliance. No disposal; water sits in the bottom drawer all of the time; only powder detergent can be used, and the dispenser is in an awkward position, especially when the drawer if full. Does do a good job cleaning the dishes as long as there isn't too much load in the drawer.
