The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone thinking about buying a scanner and/or
printer. It's more cost effective to buy this than the individual machines. Reliable and simple to use.

I run a home office, so having dependable machinery is critical. I've always had HP inkjets, but then I had to add the peripheral equipment like the scanner. Having all the extra hardware around cramped my office space, overloaded my computer with icons, and took additional time to perform the functions I wanted it to do. I got my PSC 500 almost a year ago and it has never failed on me, prints very quickly, scans quickly and clearly, and it makes photocopies! This machine is very reliable and it took less than 5 minutes to hook up and install the software. Operation is simple and changing the ink cartridges takes less than three minutes (yes, I've timed it). High quality, reliable, and economical - HP really struck gold with this one.
