| BlonbabyDawn's Full Review: Hotpoint-Ariston NVL333GY Gas Dryer |
I’ve found that no matter where I go, I’m constantly being hassled by sales-people. They want you to buy the most expensive brand of whatever you want, claiming that more accessories mean superior brand. I’ve also found this to be a false statement. I’ve got two small children with another on the way and what I’m looking for is convenience in a product, not hassle. When it comes to day to day activities, that is even more important to me.
Washing and drying my clothes shouldn’t be complicated, in fact, I find that having only one or two dials or buttons makes my task much more simple and effective. I know when I buy something, ex...electronics, toys, computers, TV’s, VCR’s, or whatever, I don’t like sitting down with an owner’s manual unless absolutely necessary. I like things to be self-explanatory. Call me simple, but that is what I am.
This Hotpoint Dryer has become one of my favorite household appliances. Not only is it easy to use, it’s fast and it gets the job done. Personally, I have dried a large load of clothes in less than 30 minutes. I understand all dryers deteriorate over time, but I use this washer on a daily basis, doing 2-3 loads a day and with buying the dryer just 3 months ago, I still get my laundry done in record time. (Always remember to empty your lint filter and check exhaust ducts for clogs, as this will interfere with your drying time dramatically. When inspecting exhaust ducts, do be sure to unplug your dryer from the wall socket.)
This particular model of Hotpoint Dryers has only 2 dials on the top front of the dryer. On the left hand side is your Start dial and on the right hand side is your dial for cycle settings. This includes all of your self-explanatory cycles that I so dearly love and admire.
These easy to understand features include:
Your AUTO PERM. PRESS (med heat) side to the right that has more dry less dry, cool down, your timed drying from 70 minutes down, then to your left you have your Auto Cottons (Reg. Heat) with more dry and less dry.
The appearance of the Hotpoint dryer itself is also quite clear-cut and simple. My dryer is white with a front opening door. I’m not sure if it comes in different colors or not, but this was the only color offered to me at Rex, an appliance store, where I bought the dryer. Upkeep and cleaning is as simple as pie, as all I have to do is wipe it down with a damp cloth, inside and out.
The price is also something to compare with other GE appliances. I paid around $225.00 for the dryer, while other GE dryers ran well over $300.00.
Overall I am extremely satisfied with this product and definitely recommend it to others on a budget and to all who enjoy the simple finer things in life. We have too many other significant things in life to spend our precious minutes on other than our laundry. And who needs the fuss?
Need a new dryer? Try the Hotpoint Gas Dryer Model NVL333GY.
