This is a heads up to help others with the same DVD problem.
All of the additional DVD features work ONLY WITH THE REMOTE. That means that if your remote gets lost or damaged, all you can do is play the DVD without any of the advanced features like extended versions, interviews, and behind-the-scenes info.
In addition, it can take MONTHS to get a replacement remote from JBL.
Needless to say, you can spend a lot of time trying to get advanced features to work using the DVD front panel controls. Who would think all functionality wouldn't be there? After that, you'll need to make numerous calls (long distance at your expense) to micro manage the process of getting a replacement remote.
