| GR8AV8R's Full Review: Kenmore 15142 24 in. Built-in Dishwasher |
Well, I tried to save a few bucks, and I'm really disappointed. It washes fine, it dries fine, but WOW is this thing chintzy! Installation was relatively easy, after a couple of trips to a home improvement store for parts that were not included. It's quiet enough, far from silent, but about what I expected. BUT...
The rotating spray bar on the bottom falls off after a couple of uses. The door is so flimsy, I'm a little worried it's going to fall off or crack! And no matter how I adjust it, it won't stay open during loading/unloading. Yes, I followed the instructions!
If you spend $100 more on a higher-quality machine, and use it three times each week, you'll end up spending about a penny more for each load over a ten-year life span! Trust me, pony up a little extra for a better machine!
