I purchased this unit because I was upgradeing from my Beloved JVC unit that has done me well for years. I wanted to get a receiver that has component switching for HDTV and DVD. This had it, packed more power than the competition, and seemed like it was a pretty good deal.
So far It is doing ok for me, I am having a hard time getting used to the silver face plate (still like black) and the lack of on screen display is somewhat frustrating.
has a good number of inputs and outputs, and so far things are working pretty smoothly. The remote control is weird, takes some time to get used to.
One thing that really bugs me is the fact that the owners manual looks more about the size of a warranty disclamer.
Very little help with setup and configuration, my JVC owners manual was about the thickness and size of an average magazine, this one is about 10 pages.
